Ten More Cities, and Real Street View
CityHenge now covers 55 cities across 17 countries. Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Cairo, Johannesburg, Rome and Kyoto are live with full sun and moon alignment data — and a new Real Street View feature lets you scout any alignment from inside the app.
Two big additions this release: ten new cities across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Italy — and a new feature that lets you step into any alignment before you go.
**The new cities:**
- **Japan (2)** — Tokyo, Kyoto - **South Korea (1)** — Seoul - **Singapore (1)** — Singapore - **Malaysia (1)** — Kuala Lumpur - **Thailand (1)** — Bangkok - **United Arab Emirates (1)** — Dubai - **Egypt (1)** — Cairo - **South Africa (1)** — Johannesburg - **Italy (1)** — Rome
That takes the total to **55 cities across 17 countries** — all with full sun and moon alignment data, computed nightly and cached for offline use, exactly the same as the launch cities back home in Australia.
**Real Street View**
Every alignment in the app now has a Street View pin. Tap it and you drop straight into Google Street View, pre-aimed at the sun or moon's position — so you can scout the spot, check the framing, and decide whether it's worth the trip without leaving the couch.
This sits alongside the existing Street Preview. Street Preview gives you a stylised visualisation of the alignment with realistic sky colours and building projections; Real Street View gives you the actual place. One is for understanding the moment, the other for understanding the location.
